GASP: The Hotel

(Click here to return to the GASP homepage.)

GASP will be held at the Marriott in Alpharetta, GA, about 20 miles north of the city. The hotel is excited to have us, and they’re looking forward to hosting our event.

Rooms will be $119/night (plus taxes and fees), and the Marriott offers both king rooms and rooms with two double beds. All rooms have refrigerators, and many have walk-in showers (as opposed to bathtubs). There are plenty of accessible rooms as well, in case you need one.

We will have the entire eighth floor, and if we overflow that, we’ll have the seventh as well. Both of those floors will have hospitality suites for you to play in, so you don’t have to immediately bring a new person back to your room if you don’t want to.

We highly recommend that, as soon as you pay for your ticket, you book your room. You’ll receive an email after your ticket is paid for that contains the link to our room block. Once the room block runs out, the hotel said they will do their best to expand it if at all possible. Regular room rates run between $150 and $200 per night, plus taxes and fees.

How do you get the room block link? Buy your ticket and we’ll email it right to you!

The hotel has a bar and restaurant, a pool (which should be open), and a nice convention area where we’ll be holding most of our events.

Please remember — smoking, including vaping and the use of e-cigarettes, is not permitted anywhere inside the property. You must leave the building to smoke (there is a designated smoking area). You and only you are responsible for any additional fees the hotel charges if you smoke in your room and they catch you, and if you get us disinvited from the hotel for future years, you will in turn be disinvited from all future GASP and AASS events. (Seriously. Just smoke outside. Please.)
